SAHEC supports local FQHCs (Federally Qualified Health Centers) and most are begun by the local Public Health Depts. There are many careers available in this growing health care professions field, such as Epidemiology, Dentistry, General Family Practitioner, OB/Gyn, Dietician, Nursing and CHWs (Community Health Workers).
For every clinical experience these centers provide for our UT Medical Students, a monetary stipend is awarded, with the State of Ohio's FQHC Primary Care Workforce Initiative. Contact them Toll Free at: (888) 884-3101
